Bowls and beer garden

Joining our bowls section is a great way to meet new friends at the club. The bowls season runs from the beginning of April to mid October, depending upon weather conditions.

Our green is maintained to a very high standard and the excellent condition facilitates fine play.

Members who have chosen to add the bowls option to their membership (£50 p.a.) may play bowls at any time during the bowls season when the green is open (there is no need to book in advance). Bowls is available to members of all ages. Bowls members can enter into several club competitions, these are knockout matches with the eventful winner being awarded a trophy.
We realise that beginners to the game may not have any of their own bowls (known as woods). Therefore woods are available at no costs. In addition secure lockers are available for members who wish to leave their woods at the club.

The bowls area is not just for players. This quiet corner of the club is a perfect place to unwind. Why not join us in our beer garden for a cool refreshing drink in the summer (the beer garden is open year round for the more hardy!). We have ample seating and for those hot summer days there is plenty of shade available. We have recently built a new patio area for your comfort, an ideal place to linger cradling a refreshing drink on a warm afternoon.
